Maverick Ranch offers 100% Grass-Fed, USDA Certified Organic Beef. Our cattle are raised on certified organic ranches ensuring land and animals are cared for in a respectful and sustainable manner. 100% Grass-Fed Beef is a healthy choice, tastes great, and humanely raised.

100% Grass-Fed: The American Grass-fed Association defines grass-fed products from ruminants — including cattle, bison, goats and sheep — as animals that have only consumed grass or grass-type hay.

USDA Certified Organic Beef: According to the USDA rules passed on October 22, 2002, Certified Organic Beef must come from a fully verifiable production system that collects information on the history of every animal in the program, including its breed history, veterinary care, and feed.

In addition, all certified organic cattle must meet the following criteria:

A Healthy Choice: Our 100% Grass-Fed, USDA Certified Organic cattle have room to roam in open pasture grazing grasses free of pesticides, herbicides and petroleum based fertilizers. These cattle consume green leafy grass rich in vitamins and minerals absorbed from the soil. The cattle carry less fat providing lower calorie beef. This beef is higher in Omega-3’s essential for enhancing heart health and reducing the risk of arthritis, obesity, insulin resistance, allergies and autoimmune diseases. This beef contains higher amounts of vitamin A, the B-vitamins thiamin and riboflavin, vitamin E, and Beta-Carotene, helpful in reducing the risk of cancer and cardiovascular disease. This beef is also higher in the minerals calcium, magnesium, and potassium contributing to bone density and thyroid health. And, this beef contains high amounts of VA (Vaccenic Acid) and CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid), a fatty acid that is produced naturally in the bodies of our 100% Grass-Fed cattle. This nutritional value is passed on to us when we eat this beef. Research indicates that a diet rich in CLA can help reduce the risk of cancer, atherosclerosis, and diabetes.

It’s Humanely Raised: Our 100% Grass-Fed, USDA Certified Organic Cattle are pasture-raised and grass-fed, eating a diet naturally suited to their anatomy. These cattle are never given growth promoting hormones administered as an implant, in feed or by injection, including but not limited to Melengestrol Acetate (MGA), Estradiol, Progesterone, Zeranol and Steroids. The humane treatment of these cattle results in low stress levels and better health, eliminating any need for antibiotics or other drugs administered either orally or by injection; including but not limited to Penicillin, Cephalosporin, Aminoglycosides, Sulfonamides, Fluoroquinolones, Florfinicol, Macrolides, Tetracyclines, Ionophores, and Enrofloxacin.
